Retirees in the Federation of BiH, following the adoption of the FBiH budget for this year of 8.25 billion KM, expect an advance pension increase of 4.6 percent, repeated Mustafa Trakić, a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Pensioners of the FBiH, and emphasized that no one-time aid is out of the question.
The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, at the press conference after the session of the Economic and Social Council for the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, also touched on pensioners, saying that one or two one-time grants are an option.
– In the FBiH budget proposal for 2025, 337 million KM is planned for increasing pensions. Last year it was less. If the budget is adopted, we hope for an advance pension increase of 4.6 percent and we expect it because of this galloping inflation. They know that our decision on protests is in force. One-time help is out of the question. It’s eye candy.
At the negotiations in the FBiH Government, Prime Minister Nikšić said that he would try to amend the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, if a single amount is determined for the increase of pensions, that he would try to make the increase go differently, and not, as now, that those who have more pensions get more, as it used to be that some received 200 KM, and others 20 KM – says Trakić and adds:
– In the first increase, we expect 4.6 percent more pension, and for the future, if the amendments to the Law on PIO are adopted, there would be more percent this year. We would never agree to one-time help, only to regular adjustment of pensions.
