On that occasion, they talked to the President of the HJPC, Sanin Bogunić, Deputy Prime Minister and Permanent Member of Sedina Idrizović, as well as the Judge and President of the Criminal Department of the Court Željko Marenić and the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milank Kajganić.
The visit was performed in order to express the support of the mentioned Nordic countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina and judicial institutions at the level of BiH in their professional work – the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Envoys Sweden, Norway and Denmark pointed out a long-term partnership with Bosnian judicial institutions based on clear interest that Bosnia and Herzegovina become strong democracy rooted in the rule of law.
Representatives of the three countries recognize the presses with which judicial institutions at the level of BiH have faced the last three months and want to provide their support, emphasizing that the preservation of the independence is the basis for entering the European Union.
Bogunić thanked the above support countries, which in the past decades provided the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He also thanked the unambiguous support that the representatives of Sweden, Norway and Denmark pointed out in today’s talks, emphasizing that he is looking forward to the unique Nordic approach.
Bogunić also said that the professional work of judicial institutions in recent months is clear evidence of the independence, commitment and forces of the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina to make a large step forward on the road to the European Union, the BiH HJPC was announced.
