Of the 10 largest economies in the world, Bosnia and Herzegovina had a surplus in foreign trade with four of them this year.
Thus, a positive balance in foreign trade cooperation this year, according to the data of the BiH Indirect Taxation Administration (ITA BiH), was achieved with the United States of America, Great Britain, France and Canada.
We remind you that the United States of America was the largest economy in the world in the middle of this year according to “Forbes”, with a GDP of 28.78 trillion dollars.
They are followed by China (18.54), Germany (4.59), Japan (4.11), India (3.94), Great Britain (3.50), France (3.13), Brazil (2.33 ), Italy (2.33) and Canada (2.24).
Thus, in 11 months of this year, Bosnia and Herzegovina imported goods from the USA for 193,162,449 KM, and exported goods to this country for 213,706,592 KM.
This means that the trade surplus with the USA was greater than 20 million KM. Products for 1.09 billion KM came from China, and only 47,495,268 KM left, which means that the trade deficit is greater than even one billion KM.
Goods for 2.33 billion KM were sold in Germany, and 2.45 billion KM were imported.
The deficit realized this year is about 120 million KM.
As for Japan, Bosnia and Herzegovina exported goods to the Land of the Rising Sun for only 1,759,486 KM, while products for 7,908,430 KM arrived. The foreign trade deficit with Japan was slightly higher than six million KM.
When it comes to India, in 11 months of this year, 23,332,553 KM worth of goods went to the world’s most populous country, while, on the other hand, 97,129,453 KM worth of products arrived from this country.
Exports to India are four times smaller than imports from this country. In this period, goods were imported from Great Britain for 79,351,706 KM, while they were exported for 89,242,815 KM.
A surplus of slightly less than 10 million KM was achieved with Great Britain.
Products for 335,852,316 KM were exported to France, while products for 237,174,003 KM were imported in this period.
With one of the largest economies in Europe and the world, the surplus amounted to about 98 million KM. Products for 6,509,829 KM came from Brazil, while goods for 4,768,867 KM went to this country.
Thus, the trade deficit with this South American country was slightly higher than 1.7 million KM.
Companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina sold goods for a total of 1.19 billion KM to Italy in 11 months of this year.
In the same period, 1.48 billion KM worth of products came from this country. The deficit in exchange with Italy is about 290 million KM.
The circle of the top 10 economies of the world, according to this magazine, is closed by Canada, from which during this year we imported products for 16,176,458 KM, while in the same period we exported goods for 17,287,279 KM.
A positive balance was also achieved with this country in North America, for a little over a million KM, they report Independent.
