The Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Nezir Pivić, and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Mirza Mušija, held a traditional reception and awards ceremony for the students of the primary and secondary school generation from all 12 cities and municipalities of the Canton today at the headquarters of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
At the reception, students of the generation from 64 elementary and 37 secondary schools were awarded, who marked their education with their work, commitment and success and became the best representatives of their schools.
Prime Minister Pivić congratulated the students and their parents, emphasizing that this is one of the most solemn events in the work of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton.
– The students of this generation are the pride of our canton and the best proof that effort, work and knowledge always pay off. You are an example to your peers and a force that encourages us to continue investing in education. It is our obligation to provide you with the best possible conditions for education and further development in Bosnia and Herzegovina – said Prime Minister Pivić.
Minister Mirza Mushija said that the reception is a message to all students that institutions recognize and appreciate excellent results.
– It is a message to them and their parents that we know how to recognize work, excellence, perseverance and good behavior. These students united all these values and achieved a result that they can be proud of first of all, then their parents and teachers, but also us as institutions, that is, the Cantonal Government and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. Effort and work always pay off – pointed out Minister Mushi.
Adel Šehović, a student of the generation at the “Miroslav Krleža” Elementary School in Zenica, said that this recognition is an additional motivation for him to continue working even harder, and he continues his education at the Medical School in Zenica.
Matea Divković and Šejma Zubača, students of the generation at the “Vareš” Elementary School in Vareš, according to the curriculum and program in the Croatian and Bosnian languages, said that they are proud of the title of students of the generation and that it represents a great success and incentive for further education. Matea will continue her education at the General Gymnasium in Žepč, while Šejma enrolled in the Madrasa “Osman-ef. Redžović” in Visoko.
Emin Čišija, a student of the generation of “Kulin ban” Primary School in Visoko, said that the title of student of the generation confirms to him that hard work, work and discipline always pay off and that without them it is not possible to achieve success even in further education, which he continues at the Gymnasium in Visoko.
Majra Jašarspahić, a student of the generation at the “Muhsin Rizvić” Gymnasium in Kakanj, said that she wants to continue her education in the field of electrical engineering and become an engineer in the future.
Karlo Klarić, a student of the generation at the Gymnasium of the Catholic School Center “Don Bosco” in Žepč, said that he plans to study electrical engineering. Lejla Likić, a student of the generation at the General Gymnasium of Mixed Secondary School “Nordbat 2” in Vares, also plans to continue her education in the field of electrical engineering.
Prime Minister Nezir Pivić wished the students much success in continuing their education, stressing that the Government remains committed to improving the education system through continuous investments in school infrastructure and teaching staff.
He invited high school students to continue their higher education at the University of Zenica, where the annual enrollment fee is 50 KM, which represents an additional incentive for staying and studying in the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
All students of the generation were presented with awards, special gifts and cash prizes in the amount of 500 KM.
The reception of students of the generation is one of the traditional activities of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, which recognizes the most successful students and promotes knowledge, work and excellence as fundamental social values.
