The young national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated at Grbavica Stadium by Norway 0:1 (0:0) within the 7th round of Group G qualification for EURO U21, which will be held in Albania and Serbia in 2027.
At the beginning of the game, the Norwegians had more concrete opportunities, mainly through Sindra Walla Egeli, who tried to threaten on several occasions, but Amar Ibrišimović eliminated the danger with timely blocks in the 11th and 13th minutes. Egeli also shot in the 21st minute, but the ball went wide.
Young Dragons had a good opportunity in the 17th minute after a combination from a free kick, when Emin Kujović shot from over 20 metersbut next to the goalpost. Goalkeeper Mladen Jurkas stood out on two occasions excellent defenses after kicks from Niklas Ødegård in the 28th and 39th minutes. Coach Branislav Krunić said after the game that both teams played a good and quality game despite the difficult and cold weather.
At certain moments, both we and the Norwegians had control of the game. Both teams had their chances, but unfortunately, we didn’t use ours. We conceded a goal from stoppage timewhich is the Norwegians’ strongest weapon, especially in this difficult time. I have no complaints about my team, I think they played great match. It is obvious that we have improved as a team in certain segments of the game, especially in building attacks and creating chances. We are moving on. This team has more lots of room for improvementwhich they show from game to game. We are only halfway through the qualifiers, and the next games await us in March against Slovenia at home and Israel away.
The Norwegians kept it maximum performance after three played games they are at the top of the table, while the BiH national team has 5 points won from four matches.
