The Nordic State of Iceland, known for its volcanoes and warm sources, has been declared again the most peaceful land in the world according to the global index of peace.
The index, which is published by the Institute for Economy and Peace (IEP), ranks 163 independent states and territory according to criteria such as social safety, the scope of domestic and international conflicts and the degree of militarization.
Except for the first place on the rankings, Iceland is third on the World Happiness Report list in the happiest land countries, and is also one of the most desirable tourist destinations in the northern hemisphere, transmits Dnevnik.hr.
How are other states?
Since the establishment of the Global Peace Index in 2008. year, the average assessment of countries worsened by 5.4 percent. The gap between the most real and least peaceful countries has also increased by 11.7 percent.
Russia is the first time at least a peaceful country in the world, followed by Ukraine.
The United States occupies a low place on the scale, 128. position, behind Honduras, Bangladesh and Uganda. This is mostly attributed to the high level of militarization, which ranks them closer to the uncharific of the index, along with countries like North Korea (149.), Israel (155), Ukraine (162) and Russia (163).
France is the most limitarized country of Western and Central Europe, while South America is the only region that recorded improvement in peaceful in this latest index. The largest shifts were recorded in Peru and Argentina, while Canada and Costa Rica are the most miri-calm state of northern and secondary America.
Mauritius, Botswana and Namibia were declared the world-loving states in Podsaharac Africa, CNN reports.
BiH and neighbors
BiH is at 59. position, and from countries in the region behind our country, the only Serbia is on the 64th place. According to the global index of peace, Slovenia is best positioned, to the 9th place, followed by Croatia, at the 19th place and Montenegro (34th).
