The United States has offered a $25 million reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
A reward was also offered for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Minister of the Interior Diosdado Kabelj.
Official Washington has also offered a reward of 15 million dollars for information aimed at the arrest or conviction of Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino.
Meanwhile, Britain has imposed sanctions on 15 Venezuelan officials, including judges, members of the security forces and military officials.
The British Office for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development announced that these individuals had been sanctioned for “undermining democracy, the rule of law and violating human rights”, reports the BBC.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy described Maduro’s regime as a “fake”.
And the EU extended “restrictive measures” against Venezuela due to “the lack of progress leading to the restoration of democracy and the rule of law.”
The bloc imposed sanctions on another 15 Venezuelan officials.
Canada has also joined sanctions against Caracas for what Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said was the “shameless actions” of Maduro.
