In the organization of the Young Red Cross of the Tešanj municipality, a three-day summer camp was successfully implemented, which brought together 30 young volunteers from Banovići, Ilijaš, Ilidža, Orašje, Doboj and Zenica.
The camp was organized with the support of partners from Tešanj Technical High School and Tešanj Mixed High School, and its goal was to strengthen the knowledge, skills and mutual cooperation of young volunteers through educational workshops and socializing.
Opening the camp, project coordinator and president of the Young Red Cross of the Tešanj municipality, Emira Begović, wished the participants successful work, while the members of the Presidency, Elma Hadžan and Kenan Kadribašić, welcomed them.
The first educational block was held by Aida Dedić, a medical student and owner of a small business, who spoke about perseverance, discipline and making important life decisions through her own life experience.
On the second day of the program, Kenan Kadribašić led a workshop dedicated to mental health and the importance of open communication, while Lejla Ljevaković held a motivational lecture on discipline and goal setting in the adolescent period.
Special attention of the participants was attracted by the lecture of Adis Bekric, doctor of science in the field of kinesiology and sports, who, through the theoretical and practical part, pointed out the importance of correct posture and prevention of spinal column deformities.
At the end of the educational part of the program, the participants made a final evaluation and arranged the space together, and they used their free time to tour the Tešanje Gradina and socialize in the old city center.
The Red Cross of the Tešanj municipality points out that a significant contribution to the implementation of the camp was made by a long-time volunteer, activist and voluntary blood donor Ernes Haliović, whose engagement was of great importance for the successful organization of the project.
The organizers thanked the donors – the Mozaik Foundation and the Tešanj Youth Bank – who enabled the implementation of the project, as well as the Tešanj Municipality Red Cross, Tešanj Sports and Recreation Center, Tešanj Municipality Museum, all lecturers, partners and volunteers for their support.
They said that they are sending a new generation of empowered young people from Tešnj, ready to transfer the acquired knowledge, experience and values of humanity to their local communities.
