Austrian skier Magdalena Egger (24) crashed into the guard rail today during the downhill race in Zauchense.
Egger hit the guardrail at a speed of 109 kilometers per hour, after which the race was stopped.
The medical team reached the Austrian in the shortest possible time, which could not stand on its own feet.
A helicopter was soon called and landed on the track, and Egger was transported to the hospital for further tests.
This season, Egger has recorded excellent results in the World Cup and already has another place in the downhill.
