Rugby Club Steel from Zenica will play its first match at home within the Regional Rugby Championship (RRC), and the rival will be their team of Belgrade regions.
The meeting is played at the “Kamberovića Polje” Stadium, and is interesting that the steel in the RRC will first play after 2019. year and the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the only one to perform as a club.
All the remaining participants of the RRC are, in fact, the team of its regions: the region of Belgrade from Serbia, region north / Zagreb and the region of South / Dalmatia from Croatia and the region of Ljubljana.
– Our team is significantly rejuvenated this season – three players are currently injured, and several have gone abroad. However, we believe that our young guys will, with the support of more experienced teammates, respond to the challenge and guarantee a positive result but at the beginning of the championship.
We hope that there will no longer be any interruptions in the League organization and we believe that teams from other countries will be joined from the next season. We hereby invite all our fans and fellow citizens to come and support us in the game against the region Belgrade and together we enjoy the right rugby spectacle – the head of the professional staff of Kenan Uzunović.
The steel will in the autumn part, except for tomorrow’s match, 25. October, 14 hours, play in Ljubljana against the Team of the region of Ljubljana. The others will play the matches during the spring 2026. years. The Championship is managed by Rugby Alliance, which is the holder of the RRC project, and is interesting that the Steel played the expansion of Croatia last year, in which Rugby Club Ljubljana also performed.
