This is the third series of releases since the US government began a new wave of disclosures of previously classified information last month.
The latest package contains 53 documents and ten photographs originating from the CIA, FBI, NASA, the US Department of Defense and other agencies, as well as six videos and three audios from NASA. In the videos, mysterious objects resembling luminous balls can be seen, while some of the photos and videos present artistic reconstructions of the reported encounters.

Documents describing an event in the year 2023 in the west of the United States of America attracted special attention. Five federal agents reported strange orbs of light on the horizon that moved in ways they could not explain. One of the agents recalled how his partner asked him: “Do you see this too?”as the glowing orb lit up the night sky.
According to their accounts, the red lights moved in groups, accelerated sharply and performed perfectly coordinated maneuvers. One witness claimed that several smaller objects came out of the large orange ball several times, while another described the scene as “clusters coming out of a basketball.”

One of the videos released, called “Northeastern Orb Sighting,” shows two bright spots moving across the sky almost silently and in sync, as if flying in formation.
Another case, known as “Orbs Over the Pond”, was recorded in 2024. The video shows a luminous object hovering over the lake at a distance of about 800 meters. The Pentagon says the object looked like a “plasma sphere” that periodically changed shape and intensity of light. Witnesses claim that he remained almost motionless for about 45 minutes before he disappeared.

Among the published documents is the report of the CIA’s scientific panel from 1952 and 1953. Experts at the time concluded that “flying saucers” did not pose a physical threat, but recommended an official policy of debunking and downplaying the mystery surrounding UFOs to prevent mass panic and possible manipulation by foreign powers.
UFO over Zimbabwe and the “potato” object in Colorado
A 2008 CIA report on an unusual object over Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe was also released. Witnesses described a disc-shaped object with a hollow center and rotating lights on the underside. The incident then caused alarm among the security services, who could not determine whether it was a foreign reconnaissance aircraft or something else.
Another case relates to a 2022 sighting near Colorado Springs. Witnesses reported a “potato”-shaped object, creamy-white in color, partially transparent and with a slight shimmer. Although later analysis suggested the phenomenon could be related to the reflection of sunlight from snow and clouds, the Pentagon said the case remains unsolved.
The release of the new documents followed an executive order by the US president ordering the Pentagon to make more UFO-related materials available to the public. The US Secretary of Defense stated that this move represents a “commitment to unprecedented transparency”.
