The oldest active president in the world, President Cameroon Paul Biya (92), announced a new candidacy for the elections in October.
“I’m running at the presidential election 12. October 2025. I’m making sure that I serve you the proportional seriousness of the challenges we face. There is no challenge that we cannot overcome.
Biya is at the head of Cameroon since 1982. So Full 43 years is the president of this country and now goes by his eighth presidential mandate.
Prior to that since 1975. he performed the function of the Prime Minister.
This announcement at the same time ended with multisedemic speculations about his serious health condition, as Biya six weeks did not appear in public. Last year, he even denied the rumors that Biya passed away.
