The Ministry of Energy, in cooperation with international partners, calls on the global community to increase the pressure on the Russian Federation to prevent a nuclear disaster and returned to the occupied Ukraine’s occupied power plant.
The Ministry emphasized that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed the dangerous situation in the CPP.
– IAEA has officially confirmed the dangerous situation in the Nuclear Power Plant for the Zaporizea, which, due to the action of the occupier, for ten days without the primary energy source. According to the Agency, a power plant in the occupied territory is currently working exclusively on spare diesel generators, and current fuel reserves for their work will only be 10 days – the Ministry said.
IAEA is in contact with Ukraine and Russia to facilitate the repair of damaged transmission lines and the more faster renewal of the electricity occupied by the occupied nuclear power plant, which has been operating exclusively on spare diesel generators.
The last outer transmission line to the Zaporška nuclear power plant is excluded on 23. September.
The spare transmission line was russian forces to cut in May, and since then they have not provided security guarantees for repair teams from the Ukrainian company Nek Ukrenjo to renew it.
