Two people lost their lives during an attack by Russian drones on the Kyiv region, and several people were injured, Mykola Kalashnik, the head of the Kyiv military administration, said on Friday.
At the same time, Russia announced that its forces shot down more than 120 Ukrainian drones over 13 regions overnight.
Kalashnikov confirmed on Telegram that one person died in the fire, which broke out after a drone struck a private house. The house completely collapsed, and firefighters later extinguished the fire. Another man, aged 36, lost his life in the neighborhood where a ten-story building was hit.

“Two more people requested medical assistance. One man suffered burns of the respiratory tract, while one woman was hospitalized due to an acute stress reaction,” added Kalashnjik, noting that the number of injured is still being determined.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that during the night their forces managed to shoot down a total of 121 Ukrainian drones. According to the report, 37 drones were shot down over Bryansk region, 20 over Ryazan region, and 17 each in Kursk and Saratov regions. Additional drones were shot down over Moscow, Rostov, Belgorod, as well as several other areas, including one over Moscow and Crimea.
This attack was marked as the largest action by Ukrainian drones outside its borders since the beginning of 2025, Russian TASS reports.
