The Croatian cheerleading club Široki achieved success at its first appearance at the European Cheerleading League in Łochow, Poland, where the junior girls won an excellent 7th place in extremely strong competition.

This is the first time that Široki Brijeg athletes are performing at the European Cheerleading League, which makes this result even more valuable. The competition was very numerous, and it was opened by representatives of the Ministry of Sports in Poland.
The club points out that the road to the performance was anything but easy:
Despite everything, it was great. Just two days before, we didn’t know if we were going to perform at all, because of the 4 of them, one was suffering from a high temperature, and the other had pneumonia. And when something like that happens, one does not know what to expect. However we managed to deal with the health condition of female athletesthey performed and gave that last atom of strength to perform as well as they can and we from the club are very proud of them.
At home, everyone followed us, because the broadcast was live, in very high competition and insufficiently prepared for health fighting for 7th place is really something very big. We are proud of the girls, they said from HCK Široki.
