The Palestinian Ministry of Health said Bahaa Abdel Rahman Rashid, 38, died after being shot in the head by Israeli soldiers during clashes in the village of Odala, south of Nablus.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said its crews responded to a man with a critical gunshot wound to the head and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the scene before he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told Anadolu that the clashes broke out after the Juma prayer, the Muslim Friday prayer, and Israeli forces fired live ammunition and tear gas at the Palestinians.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its teams treated a 45-year-old man who was shot in the hand in the Al-Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah and transferred him to hospital.
Local sources told Anadolu that two more people were injured during clashes with Israeli forces in the camp.
In the village of Al-Mughayyir, Israeli forces attacked a young man while tending sheep in a mountainous area west of the village, leaving him bruised, according to local sources.
The northern districts of the West Bank have witnessed widespread Israeli military raids over the past week as part of an operation targeting Tubas, Aqaba, Tammun, al-Far’u and Tayasir.
Later in the day, the Israeli army announced that it had ended a military offensive in the northern occupied West Bank, 10 days after launching it.
The offensive included more than 30 airstrikes, killing six Palestinians, arresting dozens of others and destroying infrastructure.
Palestinian observers say the operation aims to strengthen Israeli control over the northern West Bank, with illegal settlers playing a complementary role in expanding settlement activity and restricting Palestinian movement.
At least 1,088 Palestinians have been killed and 10,700 injured in attacks by the army and illegal Israeli settlers in the occupied territory since October 2023. More than 20,500 people were arrested.
In a landmark opinion last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
