During the New Year’s holidays, the Federal Market Inspectorate of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs conducted a set of planned activities aimed at controlling compliance with legal provisions on officially non-working days in trade, control of regulations on tourism and hospitality, along with accompanying controls on fiscalization.
Namely, the federal market, tourism and catering inspectors intensified their activities in the area of ski centers, as well as the area of larger sales facilities in the Canton of Sarajevo, Canton of Herzegovina-Neretva, Canton of Central Bosnia and Canton 10, and during the control of compliance with the provisions on non-working days, a total of seven (7) misdemeanors, on the occasion of which misdemeanor measures will be imposed on legal and responsible persons in a legal entity in accordance with the law.
“In view of the assessment of the risk of a potential violation of the FBiH Internal Trade Law, the FBiH Catering Law, the FBiH Tourism Act and the FBiH Fiscal Systems Law, the work of the Federal Market Inspectorate was reorganized on non-working days in order to adequately tackle the occurrence of possible illegalities on in the area of ski centers, as well as larger sales areas in FBiH during the New Year holidays. The foreseeable risks resulted in the expected outcomes and pointed to the need for an intensified presence of inspectors in the field during non-working days”, said the chief federal market inspector by authority, Anto Džalto.
Also, when it comes to control in the field of hospitality, violations were recorded regarding work without approval, while no irregularities were found in the field of tourism. According to the continuous follow-up control of fiscalization, only one (1) misdemeanor was determined based on the Law on Fiscal Systems of FBiH, which will also be followed by misdemeanor measures.
The Federal Market Inspectorate continues the activities of the regular surveillance plan for the month of January 2025, with the planning of further action and active presence during non-working days in the areas of the estimated risk of violation of legal regulations, writes Klix.
