The home of the pensioner with the hospital of Zenica-Doboj Canton was given to his customers 1. October – International Senior Day, and the ceremonies were attended by the delegation of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton to the Prime Minister Nezira Pivić.

Minister of Labor, Social Policy and Refuge Antonio Simunović emphasized the care of old people at the top of the priority of this ministry and to invest efforts to improve the quality of life in this home.
– It doesn’t just mean to secure food and a roof over the head users, but create an environment filled with special attention, respect, dignity, care and warmth. Every move is aimed at feeling here for sure, respected and that you have the opportunity for an active and fulfilled life – said Simunovic.
The house of the pensioner with the ZDK hospital was founded 12 years ago, and today care about 160 users.
Director Damir Jukić thanked the government on unreserved support, emphasizing that the cooperation with the government led by Prime Minister Pivić is the best in the last 10 years, because it recognizes the needs of users and allows the progress of the institution.
The government has emphasized, in addition to co-financing the accommodation of most users through social work centers, supporting institutions, stating an example of the fire alarm system that has shown its efficiency in May this year, when a fire was suppressed. He also stated that the government recently reminded the Government in an additional 200,000 KM, so that the institution settled additional costs due to the increase in the minimum wage at the beginning of the year.
A suitable artistic-entertainment program performed users of this institution, children from the kindergarten “Sindibad” Zenica and the tamburitza composition “Young Vareški Tamburaši”.
