The incident that caused reactions happened during the recent Euroleague match between Partizan and Paris in the Belgrade Arena, when the stands were the scene of a conflict between fans.
It all started with the taking away of banners supporting the students, and shouts against the government broke through the hall. The events escalated to such an extent that some of the fans left the stadium, while the players were eventually defeated.
Berić claims that it is not a random conflict, but a “synchronized collapse of Partizan’s tribune” and “a showdown that the authorities are conducting against the club”.
According to him, certain fans act under instructions in order to create a bad atmosphere and break the unity of the stand.
“You can hear real things here, only in our home matches. The club and the fans represent a serious bone in the throat for the authorities,” said Berić.
We remind you that during the same match, “Grabari” paid tribute to Nebojša Pavković, a former commander sentenced to 22 years in prison by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia for crimes in Kosovo.
