The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has successfully implemented the second issue of Eurobonds on the international capital market in the amount of 800 million euros, with a fixed interest rate of five percent.
The issue on the London Stock Exchange attracted strong interest from renowned American, European and regional funds and banks.
The total demand of investors amounted to about 2.5 billion euros, which is more than three times the amount initially planned and ranks this issue among the most successful Eurobond transactions in the segment of developing countries in 2026.
“Strong market interest enabled the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to further improve the financing conditions during the issuance process and reduce the initial indicative price by almost 50 basis points, which represents one of the largest price corrections recorded on the international market this year. It is particularly significant that the achieved interest rate is five percent lower compared to the first historical issue of Eurobonds from July 2025, when the interest rate was 5.50 percent,” the FBiH Government announced.
They point out that more than 70 investors have been registered.
“This confirms the strengthening of investor confidence in the stability of public finances and economic developments in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. More than 70 renowned institutional investors from more than 20 countries of the world are recorded in the order book, which further confirms the credibility of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international capital market. This issue represents the continuation of the successful presence of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international financial markets and confirms the ability to ensure competitive financing conditions even in complex global circumstances,” the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina points out.
