The expert jury of the 25th election of the best sportsman of BiH, a manifestation organized by “Nezavisnih novina” and Radio Television of BiH, chaired this year by the celebrated BiH. soccer player and coach Mehmed Baždarević, at the first session in Sarajevo, adopted broader lists of candidates in all 12 competitions.
Already from the first session, a unanimous and strong message was sent that this year too there will be no deviation in the professional and responsible approach in the way of decision-making when choosing the best individuals and sports teams.
– Thank you for trusting me to be the president of such an important event for Bosnia and Herzegovina. I believe that we will be more efficient and that all decisions will be fair and unanimous – said the former coach of the BiH national football team, Mehmed Baždarević.
The editor of the BHT1 sports program, Medina Šehić, recalled that in previous years, decisions were made unanimously.
– I want us to repeat our way of working in all previous years. I hope that we will make fair and correct decisions again. I wish successful and efficient work for everyone and that we be united as we have always been – she said.
Adnan Alagić (bodybuilding and fitness), Anes Bostandžić (karate), Kenan Šiljak (karate), Ismail Zolota (karate), Vedad Karić (cycling), Ivan Soldo (cycling), Jovan Lekić (swimming), Mesud Pezer (athletics), Edin Atić (basketball), Nedžad Husić (taekwondo), Jovan Lekić (swimming), Amel Tuka (athletics), Toni Miletić are competing for the best athlete of the year. (judo), Andranik Karapetyan (weightlifting), Damir Džumhur (tennis) and Jusuf Nurkić (basketball).
Lamija Bađžak (bodybuilding and fitness), Emina Sipović (karate), Lejla Njemčević (cycling), Karla Kustura (cycling), Larisa Cerić (judo), Aleksandra Samardžić (judo), Lana Pudar (swimming), Elvedina Muzaferija (alpine skiing), Džejla Makaš (taekwondo), Ada Avdagić (taekwondo) are included in the competition for the best athlete of BiH.
Proposals for the best team and the best coach in 2022 were also considered. The competition for the best sports team included Power Plus Sarajevo Cycling Club, “Daj Krug” Cycling Club Bihać, BiH Senior Karate National Team, BiH Men’s Basketball National Team, Water Sports Club “ORKA” Mostar, HŠK Zrinjski, FK Sarajevo, Igokea Basketball Club, ŽOK Gacko, Women’s Football Club SFK 2000 Sarajevo, BiH National Football Team.
The wider list for the best coach includes Petar Klančir (bodybuilding and fitness), Marko Kovačević (tennis), Denis Muhović (karate), Amar Njemčević (cycling), Sergej Barbarez (soccer), Amel Kapo (swimming), Ifet Mahmutović (sitting volleyball), Sead Mršo (sitting volleyball), Adis Bećiragić (basketball).
Lifetime achievement awards, awards for sports development, sports role model, best athlete in Paralympic sport, best team in Paralympic sport and audience award were also adopted.
The next jury session where the lists will be reduced will be held on November 20 in Banja Luka, when the lists of nominees in all 12 competitions will be reduced. The announcement of the best will be held in the Congress Hall of the “Holiday” hotel on December 22, in Sarajevo, starting at 8 p.m., with live broadcast on BHT 1 and nezavisne.com. The partner of the Selection is the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the “Nezavisne novina” portal (www.nezavisne.com), voting for the audience award will soon begin.
Candidates for the most promising sportswoman of BiH are: Lana Draškić (cheerleading), Zerina Vrabac (swimming), Zakira Pušina (shooting), Hena Mehanija (karate), Nejra Zukić (karate), Tea Kovačević (tennis) and Emina Cerić (table tennis).
The candidates for the most promising athlete are Anes Ćehajić (cycling), Emrah Ljubuškić (cycling), Emel Ljubuškić (cycling), Marko Martinović (cycling), Džan Durak (cycling), Matej Deket (football), Daris Džafo (karate), Armin Šehić (sitting volleyball), Ismail Đidić (karate), Tarik Hrelja (basketball) and Kerim Alajbegović (football).
