The Oriental Institute in Sarajevo is a public scientific-research institution established in 1950. year by Regulation by the Government of the National Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the University of Sarajevo.
With the task of collecting, processing and audencing the manuscript and archival material in Arabic, Turkish and Persian, studies in these languages, and studies the history, cultural history and oriental art, working in the training of scientific and professional staff in the field of orientalist, cooperates with Related institutions in the country and abroad and publishes the results of their scientific research through their publications.
This date will remain enrolled in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the day when it ripped out of our written heritage and identity. I calculate the strategic goal of the people who knows his past, can’t live the present, nor dreaming of the future.
