Yemen’s Houthis said Thursday that their Chief of Staff Muhammad Abd Al-Karim al-Ghamari, one of the Iran-backed group’s top military officials, had been killed “while performing his duties.”
Without directly accusing Israel of killing him, the Houthis said the conflict with Israel was not over.
– Israel will receive its dissuasive punishment for the crimes it has committed – the group said.
The Houthis fired missiles at Israel in what they called an act of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, most of which were intercepted.
Israel responded with attacks on Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, Reuters reports.
