The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced a tender for the production of paper banknotes, and for this purpose they plan to give 21.5 million marks, it has been learned. Capital.
The Central Bank has requested the production of banknotes in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 KM through a tender, and procurement is carried out through a limited procedure.
When it comes to technical and professional ability, the CBBH requested successful experience in the realization of at least one contract in the last three years, the total value of which is at least ten million euros.
– The aforementioned request is harmonized with the provisions of the decision on the policy of making banknotes and coins of the convertible mark, which obligates that the banknotes of the convertible mark in terms of quality, lifetime and protection against counterfeiting be at the level of current technological standards in the countries of the European Union, and that the authorized company entrusted with the production of KM cash must have proven successful experience and references in the production of EUR banknotes – the CBBH clarified.
They also requested, among other things, that the bidder who will be in charge of the production of banknotes have at his disposal a laboratory for quality control of paper for banknotes and inks, and that the paper that will be used for the production of KM banknotes must be produced by a paper manufacturer that is accredited for the production of paper for EUR banknotes by the European Central Bank.
It was pointed out that the amount of banknotes that need to be produced will be in the second part of the tender documentation, that is, in the stage of the invitation to submit offers and will be available only to qualified candidates. The pre-qualification phase is currently underway.
