The 32nd International Boxing Tournament “Hakija Turajlić”, the oldest and most trophy-winning in Olympic boxing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has ended.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has medals again this year, three silver and three bronze, while the greatest success was achieved by Zinedin Kadrić, a member of the “Željezničar” Boxing Club, with a well-deserved gold for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Matija Roganović (Montenegro) was declared the best boxer of the tournament, Moussa Ratma (Qatar) was the best technician, and Wilmer Ekblom Olsson (Sweden) and Ivan Harald Barlek (Croatia) were the best fighting couple.
National teams from 13 countries participated: Sweden, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Italy, Qatar, Libya, Chinese Taipei, Tunisia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
120 boxers entered the ring, along with more than 70 coaches and official delegations, which makes this year’s tournament the most attended so far.
The “Hakija Turajlić” tournament confirmed its status as the most important boxing event in the region this year as well.
The combination of tradition, honor and sportsmanship has been gathering the best boxers from the world in the heart of Sarajevo for three decades.
According to the announcement of the “Željezničar” Boxing Club, the audience witnessed top boxing, sporting, uncertain and technically quality matches at this five-day tournament.
