This initiative support is the fight for the introduction of femicids as a special criminal offense in the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH).
– Today, together with Bingo Group, we have held action ‘time to stop and stop violence in Bingo in Cazin, providing our struggle for the introduction of FBiH – they say the organization’s voice woman Bihać.
The action in the Cazin part is a broader campaign conducted throughout BiH. In all bingo facilities, the collection of citizens’ signatures lasts, which wants to send a clear message to the competent institutions on the need for emergency action.
From the organization’s Glas Women Bihać are invited by the Minister of Justice of the FBiH Vedran Škobić, to make the text of the FBiH Criminal Code in the Federation of BiH, in order to regulate the Federation in adequate way and ensure better protection of women from violence.
– This is a question that must not wait. Every lost day can mean another lost life. It is necessary for institutions to recognize the urgency of the situation and make legal changes that will clearly define femicid and provide stricter penetrators for perpetrators. – They say from the voice of the woman Bihać.
Citizens’ support throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina shows that awareness of the importance of protection of women from violence is increasing. The organizers hope that the collected signatures will additionally accelerate the process of adopting the necessary legal amendments.
