A 38-year-old man is on trial in Siegen for the serious sexual abuse of his stepdaughter. According to German media, an eleven-year-old girl gave birth to a baby in May 2024. A DNA test established that the defendant is the child’s father, writes Fenix.
Suspect of serious sexual abuse
In the indictment read out, the state prosecutor’s office charges the 38-year-old from the Siegen-Wittgenstein district with sexual abuse in nine cases between March 2020 and August 2023.
According to the report, five cases between 2020 and 2023 involve serious sexual violence. During the last alleged crime, the girl became pregnant, claims the state prosecutor.
The girl wants to testify in court
Other charges against the man include photographs the accused allegedly took of himself and the girl. They show kisses that the state prosecutor considers to be child pornography.
The accused did not comment on the allegations in court. The morning before the start of the trial, the stepdaughter announced to the lawyer that, contrary to her previous intention, she now wants to testify in court – behind closed doors.
Six more hearings are scheduled until February 18. The defendant has been in custody since the beginning of October.
