She pointed out that the legal commission in Israel would be the highest investigative body, composed of independent experts appointed by the president of the Supreme Court.
In contrast, as she stated, the Netanyahu government’s proposal envisages a commission that would be chosen by politicians, which she assessed as unacceptable and politically motivated.
Eran Littman, whose daughter Oriya was killed in the attack on the Nova music festival, said that she was “killed because of a religious war”, accusing Hamas militants of the crimes, but also commenting on the wider political-religious context of the conflict.
During his address, there were also verbal conflicts between protest participants and provocateurs, after which the police intervened and removed several people from the crowd.
After a short hearing, all parties were released.
