The big Mostar derby between Zrinjsko and Velež will take place tomorrow at the Pod Bijelim brijegom stadium as part of the 18th round of the WWin League BiH.
The meeting will be a duel between the second and third placed teams in the standings, and both teams come to the meeting with a good series of results, especially Velež, which has not lost for seven games in all competitions.
The coach of Zrinjski, Igor Štimac, pointed out to the media today that the expectations from his team remain the same, regardless of the name of the opponent.
“The players are aware of the importance of tomorrow’s game, there is a special mood at training and everyone can’t wait for the match to start,” Štimac said.
He added that the derby carries additional emotional weight.
“Every point is important to us, but this is a different match because it carries emotion and intensity that requires our full readiness to finish the match in the best possible way,” he pointed out.
Štimac also praised Velež since the arrival of coach Ibra Rahimić.
“They have improved a lot, they play consolidated football and are stronger than before, but we are also more coordinated. It will be a very interesting match,” he said.
Currently, Zrinjski is second in the table with 36 points, while Velež is third with 24 points.
