We dominated in the first game and won convincingly, and in the second we were a little worse, but we got a point because of our persistence at the very end of the game. A new episode awaits us, a new match, where now Sarajevo is different. They improved a bit compared to before, now they are a more stable team, while we left behind this sorry team that we failed to take points against Rakow, because it’s a shame. The team did an excellent job and very stable, and it’s a shame that the referee was not at the level he should have been, said Štimac, adding:
– A match of this kind always leaves a mark. Of course, some players are tired, but the mood is excellent, self-confidence is at the highest level, which is very important. I expect that a large number of people will come, considering the weather that is following us. We will need support throughout the match. A difficult match awaits us and it is very important to win points for what awaits us on Thursday and Sunday.
Regarding the duel against Rapid in the Conference League, as well as the late match of the third round of the WWin League BiH against Borc away next week, Štimac said that he can be proud of his team for everything they have done this season.
– When I look back and see the number of games we played, we can be proud of everything that was done this season. Of course, there were some bad days and moments, which is normal in the business we do. However, all the work was done very well. Hats off to the guys for everything done so far and we are in the game on all fronts. And now we are at the gates of paradise, so to speak. We need to proudly run onto the field and play these remaining three games, and then see where we are and what we are, Štimac pointed out.
By the way, tomorrow’s match Pod Bijelim brijego will be played from 5:00 p.m. and Antoni Bandić (Grude) will referee this match, while he will be assisted by Senad Ibrišimbegović (Travnik) and Slobodan Vukosav (Trebinje).
