Juventus has appointed Luciano Spalletti as its new head coach, an Italian newspaper reported on Wednesday, adding that an official announcement was expected late in the day or on Thursday.

The Old Lady have sacked Igor Tudor after failing to win their last eight games in all competitions, the Serie A club announced on Monday.
Spalletti, the former Italian coach, said on Tuesday that he is eager to return to the bench after disappointing results with the Italian national team.
“It would be nice to get another chance to get back into the game after that,” Spalletti said, adding that any coach would be happy to accept the job at Juventus.
According to the media, the official announcement could follow the match between Juventus and Udinese, which starts tonight at 18:30.
