From the Music Maestro to the commentary of the Olympic Games and now the co-owners of the football club – there is no limit to Snoop Dogg’s business and marketing talents.
The legend of the American Hip-Hop bought a minority share in the Welsh Club that is currently playing in Championship, another English football rank.
“My love for football is well known, but it is especially important to me that I make my first step on the club right with Swansea City,” said Snoop Dogg in an official statement.
“The story of the Club and the entire end really touched me,” he added. “This is proud, a worker’s city and club. AUTSider who smokes back – just like me.”
The former Premierian club did not discover the financial details of this Agreement, which comes only a few months after the former star Real Madrid Luka Modrić joined the ownership group.
Swansea then announced that Modrić would recently signed for AC Milan, to have a “key role in attracting global attention and the progress of Club on and off the field.”
Snoop Dogg, which has more than 88 million followers on Instagram, helped represent the domestic jersey for the 2025/26 season last weekend.
The ownership group of the club added: “To borrow an expression from Snoop’s discography – this post is a new episode for Swansea City while we strive to create new opportunities for the expacture and profile of the club.”
This move will further increase media attention to another not yet to the glamorous Welsh Club, after Wrexham experienced dizzying popularity since 2021 was purchased by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
The documentary series “Welcome to Wrexham” follows their path after taking the club, through the challenges, teaching a team and falling in love and its significance for the local community.
Since they invested, Wrexham became the first club that achieved three consecutive promotions – from the English national league until Championship.
