At the headquarters of the Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, contracts were signed today on the co-financing of infrastructure projects in the area of the municipality of Maglaj, with a total value of 125,056 KM.
The contracts were signed by the Minister of Labor, Social Policy and Refugees of the ZDK Antonio Simunovicfra Josip Jukić and assistant chief Fog Faris Habibović.
The funds are intended for the implementation of two projects of particular importance for the local population and returnee communities.
The largest part of the funds, i.e. 100,000 KM, was approved for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the local road in the local community of Bradići, Tomići hamlet. It is a road that plays an important role in the daily life of the inhabitants, improving the connection of settlements and communication between the municipalities of Maglaj and Zepce.
In addition, KM 25,056 was approved for the continuation of the renovation of the Catholic cemetery of St. Elijah in Novi Šeher. The funds will be used for the realization of the third phase of the project of arranging this important religious, cultural and social space.
Minister Šimunović pointed out that the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton continues to provide support to returnee communities through projects that contribute to improving the living conditions of citizens.
– It is our duty to provide infrastructure that enables the residents of these settlements to live a more dignified and quality life. By investing in road infrastructure, religious and social facilities, we strengthen local communities and create conditions for a sustainable return. We continue to implement measures that contribute to the even development of all parts of the canton and to the improvement of the living conditions of our citizens – said Šimunović.
From the Ministry of Labour, Social Policy and Refugees, ZDK said that in the coming period they will continue to support projects aimed at the development of returnee communities, improvement of infrastructure and strengthening of the quality of life of the population throughout the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
