Scouts’ handball players showed that they are in top form and in the right rhythm ahead of Sunday’s European test against Luxembourg’s HB Dudelange.
In the last match of the 6th round of the Premier League of BiH, played in Tuzla, the Scouts convincingly defeated RK Sloboda by the score 38:29.
Neither the long journey nor less than 70 hours from Saturday’s game against Goražde prevented them from recording another triumph and confirming their status as leaders of the domestic championship.
First half: The streak that broke the game
It was only the first ten minutes of the meeting result uncertain. The home team led 4:3 in the 7th minute, but the “Scouts” through Odak and Šahinović quickly turned the score around (5:4 in the 9th minute).
Until the 11th minute, Sloboda held the lead (7:7), but then it followed a large series of Ivan Džolić and Milan Tolić’s chosen ones. In the period from the 11th to the 18th minute, Scout scored as many as seven goals, while the home team only managed to shake the net once. The advantage of the visitors increases to +6, and the score goes to halftime with a score of 20:11.
Second half under control
In the continuation of the meeting The scout calmly controlled the result and pace of play. The home team managed to reduce the deficit, but the visitors routinely brought the game to an end. The final result 38:29 brings two new points and the top of the Premier League.
The coaching duo Džolić/Tolić wisely distributed the minutes, conserving energy for the upcoming European meeting. Almost all players registered as scorers, which confirms the breadth and coordination of the team.
The most effective and deserving in the ranks of the Scouts were Diana Czech Republic with five goals, Filip Odak and Mihael Bebek with four goals each, and Lukenda, Šahinović, Dželilović, Šimić, Bubalo and Semic scored 3 goals each. Goalkeeper Marko Čuvalo recorded 11 saves and one seven-point save, and Miloš Knežević recorded six saves. Total: 37% successful defense.
At Sloboda, Zlatan Kostić stood out with six goals, Tilen Grobnik with five and Daris Ismet Žečević with four goals.
