Sarajevo footballers lost in a friendly match during the preparations in Antalya, where they lost to Cherkasy with a score of 2:1.
It is about the team that currently holds the first place in the Ukrainian championship.
There was not much excitement in the first 45 minutes, and the game mostly took place in the middle of the field. The Cherkasy footballers had their first serious chance in the 13th minute, when Tverdokhlib threatened, but Sarajevo’s goalkeeper Banić saved the net with a brilliant intervention.
In the continuation of the first half, the Ukrainian team threatened with quick attacks, and Banić had to react several more times, especially in short intervals during the 16th and 17th minutes.
The second half brought a more concrete game of the guests from Ukraine. Already in the 50th minute, Cherkasy took the lead, after Renato Gojković, trying to intervene after a throw-in from the right, clumsily sent the ball into his own net.
Only three minutes later the advantage was doubled. Kuzyk used an excellent pass from Tverdokhlib and scored for 2:0.
Until the end of the match, Cherkasy had control over the rhythm of the game, while Sarajevo could not find a solution to seriously threaten the opponent’s goal.
However, the Bordeaux team managed to alleviate the defeat in the very end. In the 90th minute, Gojković redeemed himself for an own goal and scored a header after the break for the final 2:1.
It is interesting that the same opponent will be tested today by Željezničar, who will play their control match against Cherkasy starting at 2 p.m.
Sarajevo, on the other hand, is already expecting a new test in the afternoon, as they will face Macedonian Vardar from 17:00.
