Zorya opened the match better and threatened in the fifth minute through Pilip Budkivski, but Sarajevo’s goalkeeper Ivan Banić reacts brilliantly and saves his team. The Bordeaux team responded seriously for the first time in the 16th minute, when Francis Kyeremeh hit the crossbar.
The Ukrainians had another chance in the 28th minute, but Banić was up to the task once again and stopped Strikov’s shot from eight meters. By the end of the first half, Sarajevo created two chances – Adem Ljajić shot wide from the edge of the penalty area, while Mihael Kuprešak’s attempt was stopped by Zorya goalkeeper.
In the continuation of the game, both coaches made a large number of changes, which affected the rhythm of the game, so there were not many serious opportunities. However, it is worth highlighting Nermin Mujkić’s attempt in the 60th minute after a nice combination with Eldar Mehmedović, as well as Aldin Turkeš’s volley ten minutes before the end of the match, which ends up in the hands of the opposing goalkeeper.
