President of the Economic and Social Council Safudin Čengić spoke at a press conference after the meeting in the FBiH Government building.
He pointed out that after the adoption of acts and regulations, both workers and employers will be satisfied.
– The conclusion of today’s meeting is that the members of the Economic and Social Council support the activities of the Government of FBiH to improve the standards of employees in the Federation, and to reduce contributions to 1,000 or over 1,000 marks. This implies that we have concluded that the minimum salary is 1,000 marks, that the contributions between the current 619 and 1,000 KM will be defined, that is, the method of refunding part of the contribution, up to 304 KM is the maximum. They will be defined by a legal act that will be prepared in the next seven days.
Then, it was agreed that the increase in wages, which will be caused by the increase in the minimum wage to 450 KM, will be exempted from the payment of contributions, which will allow employers to increase the wages of employees. By its decision, the government will exempt them from paying contributions – said Čengić.
Čengić stated that the preparation of fiscal laws will be started, which must be adopted by September 30, in order to be applicable from January 1, 2026, he writes. Avaz.
– The next session is scheduled for January 31, where all the documents I mentioned will be discussed. In the meantime, the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples should adopt the budget, and based on it, a regulation should be passed to implement what we talked about today – said Čengić.
