Peskov’s comment was published a day after the US and Ukraine said in a joint statement that they had drawn up an “updated and refined peace framework”.
The Kremlin also confirmed that a telephone conversation is planned for today between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has often acted as an intermediary in communication between Moscow and Kiev in recent years.
