Two Russian fighter aircraft injured the safety zone around the Petrobaltic platform in the Baltic Sea, the Polish Border Service announced on Friday, adding that the armed forces and other competent services were immediately informed.
According to the border guard spokesman, the exclusive economic zone of Poland was violated during the incident, but not the state border.
The incident occurred only a few hours after Estonia reported that three Russian military planes violated its airspace for 12 minutes – which Tallinn called the “cheeky act” in the eastern NATO’s eastern wing.
The Polish Border Guard is on the social network X announced:
“Two Russian combat aircraft performed a low pillow of Petrobaltic in the Baltic Sea. The security zone of the platform. The services responsible for Poland continuously monitor the situation around the key navigation infrastructure, including areas outside the territorial waters.”

Petrobaltic platform is offshore drilling installation owned by the Polish State Energy Company Orlen. It is located in the Polish sector of the Baltic Sea and is used to exploit oil and gas deposits below the sea floor.
Located several tens of kilometers north of Rosewia, a small RTA on the Baltic Sea coast, the platform is an important part of the energy security of Poland.
