Exercise “July Storm” from 23. until 27. July will test the fleet for non-standard operations, the use of long-range weapons and other advanced technologies, including unmanned systems, the Ministry said.
– The sea crew will exercise the deployment in combat areas, conducting anti-compatriot surgery, defense of the area of deployment and economic activity – the Ministry said.
It will also exercise “rejection of attack weapons for air attacks, unmanned ships and hostile drones, securing navigation safety, attacks on enemy goals and maritime groups.”
More than 120 aircraft and 10 coastal missiles will participate, the Ministry said. The Navy Commander, Admiral Aleksandar Moisevev, will lead the exercise.
According to most public rankings, Russia has the third most powerful navy in the world, after China and the United States, although the Navy suffered a number of significant war losses in Ukraine, Reuters reports.
