The group commanding the current president of Syria, Ahmed Al-Shara, is no longer on the list of global terrorist organizations, the State Department of the United States of America has decided.
Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, which is 31. May 2018, declared a terrorist organization due to his then connections to Al-Qaeda, mostly acted in the Syrian Region Idlib. In December last year, the Group took control of the larger part of the territory of Syria.
In the memorandum, which signed by US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio states:
“In consultations with the State Prosecutor and the Secretary of Finance, I have revoked the tag of the front al-Nusrah, also known as Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, as a terrorist organizations.”
In diplomatic circles, the possible start to approach Syria and Israel could be the topic of the meeting of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump.
The political turn that Syria leads to the President Ahmed Al-Shara could open the restoration of economic and diplomatic relations with the countries of the European Union, as well as with the USA.
It is interesting that the United States has offered 10 million dollars for information on the location of Ahmed Al-Share for years, better known under the pseudonym Abu Muhammad al-Julani, until its entry into the political life of Syria.
