Velež and Borca players drew 0-0 in the match of the 20th round of the WWin League BiH on Saturday in Mostar.
Neither team managed to score a goal, so the division of points in the end was a realistic outcome. After the game, the coaches of both teams gave their comments at the press conference.
Vinko Marinovićthe head of Borca, said that even before the game they knew that they were going to have a difficult away game.
Velež also played the last part of the season very goodespecially that second part, also in preparation, but we prepared well and I think we created 3-4 good opportunities that we didn’t use. I think the game was very dynamic and there was a lot of aggression, but we didn’t manage to score that goal, Marinović told the media.
Home coach Ibro Rahimić he congratulated his opponent on a fair and correct game.
We went in kind of timidly for those first 25 minutes. I think the reason for this is that they train on artificial grass all week, while the players get used to it, but afterwards, after the opening part where the guests were better, we took matters into our own hands and I think we also had the opportunity to score a goal. (…) I think in the end that a draw is the most realistic result, Rahimic said.
Velež welcomes on Wednesday Široki Brijeg within the round of 16 of the BiH Cup, and Rahimić announced that meeting as well.
Borac is a much better team than Široki. At this point, I hope that Ayham Shhade will also get the right to perform. He is a very important player in our midfield. I think that, if he joins Siroki in the squad, he will bring the dynamism we need and that, given the quality we have, we can win and advance further in the Cup. Rahimić concluded.
