Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that he sees no “point” in meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky until a peace deal is ready, declining the Ukrainian leader’s invitation for a personal meeting.
– I don’t see the point in that meeting. It is only logical for the Ukrainian side to stop the advance of our armed forces. That’s it. And we need agreements – Putin said at Russia’s leading economic forum in St. Petersburg, a day after Zelensky later announced an open invitation to the meeting.
– Let the experts work, develop some solutions, and then we can meet – added Putin, reports AFP.
