Nezir Pivić Prime Minister Nezir Pivić has arrived for young robotics from Zenica, who participated in the open European robotics championship, held from 2. To 5. September in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
In the competition of 45 countries and 842 participants, the Stem Academy from Zenica, part of Zlatan Bešlagić, Dusan Males and Iman Huseinspahić, won the silver medal and second place in the total order.
A noticeable performance in the elementary category had a team in the composition: Harun Dizdar, Ajnur Skender and Davud Kubat.
– You are primarily the pride of our families, and then pride the state and all of us, because we can testify that we really have the smartest children and youth in the world, and we have the most beautiful country. It is important to be unique, to work on good projects and that we support each other in the future. We will support such things, projects, ideas and talented young people – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
Kenan Varda, National Organizer of the World Robotic Olympics, pointed out that this success is the result of the effort and work in the Steam Academy in Zenica.
– It should be known that 20% of the European Championship countries were from the rest of the world, that the first place won the visiting team from Malaysia, so our team is the best in Europe from Robotics this year. This is a strong motive for this story to expand in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is especially important to us what happens in Zenica, in Zenica-Doboj Canton, where we created the core of young people we will develop in the future – said Varda.
At the reception of the Prime Minister, in addition to the competitor and the National Organizer of the World Robotic Olympia, they were also professors Ernad Bešlagić and Malik Čabaravdić, and Assistant-Educator Semina Hodžić.
The University of Zenica is the organizer of the State Competition, and then leads the teams that lead the placements in European and world competitions.
– We have no system financing. This way I want to thank Prime Minister Nezira, which helped us provide a part of the time in a row, which is quite expensive because we traveled in Panama, Germany (Ljubljana). This is extremely significant to us and hope that the support of the next year will be even bigger – said Kenan Vardo.
