Nezir Pivić Prime Minister Nezir Pivić attended the 19th International Opening Fair 202, which is held at the Matuzići Municipality, together with representatives of government at all levels and diplomatic corpses and guests from BiH and abroad.
The Fair Organizer is the Association of Business Center Jelah – Tešanj, and the fair has gathered more than 600 exhibitors from BiH, the region and the EU countries to over 25,000 square meters of closed and open fair. The country of the partner of the fair is the Kingdom of Spain, and the city-partner city of Travnik.
Prime Minister Pivic emphasized that “We must strengthen economic cooperation with foreign countries, to be opened for foreign investors and seek output to foreign markets, but also more powerful locally connect, because one of others should be learned.”
-Other can be learned a lot – how to initiate and successfully run business, how to master foreign markets, how to become a regional leader, how to attract investors, build zones, to build unity. The International Fair of Economy is the mirror of the ambience in which the Tešanj region is more successful and economically stronger – said Prime Minister Pivić.
He added that in this canton, giants in all branches that brightly operate and are oriented towards export markets, and a significant number of them are from the test.
– These companies contribute to our leadership position in the real sector, which are confirmed by economic indicators. During the first five months 2025, industrial production increased by 5.7 percent, exports increased by 19.8 percent, with a simultaneous decline in imports by 0.4 percent, while the coverage of imports exports was 106.9 percent. A surplus in the foreign trade exchange of 63.54 million KM was realized. We also record positive trends during the summer. We hereby show that we are one of the economic feathers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we carry this epitet thanks to a significant extent and the companies from the Dough – he said.
The Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, he added, provides concrete examples that it is open to investments and want to be service to domestic and foreign investors. The best example is the largest postwar investment in BiH – a mine of the holes in Vareš.
-The investment launches the entire economy of the state, not knowing the entity and any other boundaries. We also help strengthen the entrepreneurial infrastructure in cities and municipalities through the construction and regulation of business zones. These are where investors awaits all the necessary infrastructure and where they can start and organize a job very quickly. Our strong incentives for strengthening competitiveness, starting businesses, construction of production facilities and a number of other subsidies – the Prime Minister ZDK emphasized them.
He said that one of the most important comparative advantages of this canton is a good connection between railways and roads, which is important to all businessmen, and especially export-oriented companies.
-Furn the construction of the highway from Zenica to the pastry, which is planned next year, our canton will be connected to the north from the south to the north. It is over 130 kilometers of highway through the heart of Zenica-Doboj Canton, and it will be a busy kucavica that will surely accelerate goods and services within the cantons, but also according to export markets, especially the EU – said Prime Minister Pivić.
He emphasized that the government led by awarded and strengthening regional economic cooperation and seeking partners around the world, which, as said, very important and potentially useful links for states, nations and economies.
– Convinced that our friendly Kingdom of Spain will give a special stamp to this year’s international fair in Tešnji and that thanks to this connection to strengthen mutual relations and economic co-operation. I want you to truly succeed in that mission. I wish everyone a welcome to the fair, send greeting cards to the organizers, and I want the exhibitors a lot of success and that the fair is productive and useful – said Prime Minister ZDK.
The ceremony was attended by ministers in the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Minister of Economy, Adnan Schabani, Minister of Physical Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.
