Nezir Pivić Canton and the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Economy, Samir Šibonjić, was in the Official Visit of the Italian Province of Brescia (Brescia) and Bergamo, where the representatives of the government discussed the possibilities of improving economic cooperation.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pivic thanked the authorities of Italy for BiH’s support on the path of approaching the European Union.
He presented Zenica-Doboj Canton, with a focus on the economy and the ambience for investment, pointing out the numerous advantages of this canton such as a good industrial basis, an excellent geographical position and the connection between railroads and roads.
He stated that the Italy is a country with which the CPC is a significant commodity, but that there is still a debate in the commodity that the Government of the ZD wants to repair the strengthening of mutual economic cooperation. Italy exports to ZDK last year amounted to 320 mil. KM, while at the same time from ZDK in Italy, goods and services worth 110 mil. KM. Italy is second in importance of the market for this canton, immediately after Germany.
– Brescia and Bergamo are extremely important provinces for the development of the entire Lombardy and I am sure that our companies can find the market and partners here. The Zenica-Doboj Canton has been in excellent cooperation with the Piedmont region, which has given us the development of the Cantonal Hospital Zenica, and we want good experiences in Italy in all areas, especially economics and education – said Prime Minister Pivić.
He expressed the willingness of the Government he led that the Memorandum of Cooperation is signed with the President of the Province of Brescia Emanuel Morašini (Emanuela Moraschini), Eric Moldenia (Erik Molteni) called on the return visit to Zenica-Doboj Canton.
The Minister of Economy Samir Šibonjić also pointed out the investment advantages of Zenica-Doboj Canton, especially 26 developed business zones in cities and municipalities, and pointed out the commitment of the government and the relevant Ministry to be service to all investors.
The visit and tour of the Tenaris Dalmine factory, one of the leaders of the Italian metal industry and the global famous manufacturer of steel pipes and oil industry with over 4,500 employees around the world.
The delegation also visited the Association “Ljiljan, which has been in Breš since 2012. and is an important link between local authorities and about 1,600 citizens originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and most of them are Zavidović, Maglaj and Žepča.
Prime Minister Pivić and Minister Sibonjic visited the memorations of the sacrifice in Srebrenica, which is located in the municipality of Donjo (Ragno), which was financed by the Association “Ljiljen” with the municipal authorities headed by the Chief of Valeria Franconia (Valerio Franzoni).
Prime Minister Pivic thanked the municipality of Dovnith, which in this way showed that part of “us who remember and point to the genocide in Srebrenica”, the greatest crime against humanitarian law on the soil of Europe.
