The Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Nezir Pivić, and the Chairman of the Assembly, Ćazim Huskić, congratulated the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Third Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the families of martyrs and fallen soldiers, war invalids, officers and soldiers of the Third Corps, as well as to all patriots who have the Third Corps in their hearts.
They state that the first half of the nineties was certainly one of the most difficult periods in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its people, but also an extremely important period in military history, because for the first time in a century we had our own army. That is why December 1, 1992 is an extremely important date, because on this day 33 years ago, the Third Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was formed, based in Zenica, based on the decision of the Headquarters of the Supreme Command of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Third Corps was a strong obstacle to the goals of the aggressors, and its members showed their courage and devotion to the homeland on the defense lines throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
They gave special recognition to the martyrs and fallen fighters who gave their lives in the honorable fight for the greatest values of civilization, independence and freedom.
– It is important to preserve the memory of the defense-liberation war and mark important dates, such as December 1, and it is especially important to take care of the defense population. The position of veterans and their families is one of the most important priorities of the institutions of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, which we demonstrate with continuous support, concrete measures and programs for all categories of veterans and a constant increase in funds allocated to the veteran population – it is stated in the congratulatory message of Prime Minister Pivić and Chairman Huskić on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Third Corps of the AR BiH.
