There were three games on the NBA League schedule. The Phoenix Suns outclassed the Indiana Pacers 133-98, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Utah Jazz 132-122 on the road, while the Toronto Raptors beat the Cavaliers 126-113 in Cleveland.
Suns have “run over” in their Mortgage Matchup Center Pacers with 35 points difference recording the eighth victory. The Pacers were the Eastern Conference champions last season, but were plagued by injuries. They have lost six straight games and fall to 1-11 this season.
The home team had a difference of eight points after the first quarter, +18 at halftime, and at the end of the third period 22 basket lead. The Suns also won the last quarter, so in the end it was a big 133-98.
They stood out in the winning ranks Devin Booker with 33 i Dillon Brooks with 32 baskets. They were the most effective with the Pacers Andrew Nembhard with 21 baskets and eight assists, and Pascal Siakam with 19 baskets.
Toronto Raptors won in Cleveland Cavaliers with 126-113. The Raptors shot 56% from the field and hit 12 3-pointers for their sixth win in seven games, and seventh overall, while the Cavs suffered their fifth loss.
Toronto led 67-54 at halftime, but Cleveland cut the lead to 90-85 by the end of the third quarter. The Cavaliers held on in the opening minutes of the last quarter, but the Raptors ran away with a 6-1 series to +10 (98-88) and did not let go of the lead until the end.
Scottie Barnes led the guests with 28 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and five blocks. Immanuel Quickley added 25 points, and Jakob Poeltl 20 points and seven rebounds. On the opposite side, he stood out Donovan Mitchell with 31 points, six rebounds and six assists.
The away victory was achieved by Atlanta having defeated Utah with 132-122. The Hawks are now 8-5, and the Jazz are 4-8.
The Hawks led by as many as 18 points, but the home team came back to take a 106-103 lead early in the final quarter. Atlanta secured the win with an 8-0 run in the final stretch to pull within 127-117 with three minutes remaining.
Atlanta has set a new franchise record with as many as 15 three-pointers in the first half from 25 attempts. Jalen Johnson led the Hawks with 31 points, 18 rebounds, 14 assists and seven steals. Johnson reached personal bests in points and assists in his third career triple-double.
He was also excellent Onyeka Okongwu with 32 baskets and 11 rebounds, hitting eight three-pointers. He has never made more than four 3-pointers in one game.
He was the most effective at home Lauri Markkanen with 40 points and seven rebounds. “Rookie” Ace Bailey he achieved a career high with 21 points, while Keyonte George added 19 points.
