He reminded that the founders of Vakuf “Bosniaks” were Rahmetli Ali Izetbegović and the then Reisul-Ulema Dr. Mustafa-ef. Ceric announced plans for the scientific set of Islamic thought.
– We do not need privileges, but freedom. Based on the freedom we have, we develop as a people. The trust that Rahmetli Ali had in the Islamic community is not let down. Vakuf has been preserved and further enriched through development – the mufti pointed out.
Dr. Senaid Zajimović, director of the Vacuation Directorate, was reminded that Vakuf “Bosniaks” has been in the formal organization of the Islamic community, and that its institutional framework guarantees transparency and stability.
– Rahmetli President was not just a statesman and an intellectual. He was a man who believed that knowledge of salvation and the way out for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He did not know any scholarship, but he thought of them – Zajimović pointed out.
The Director of the Fund “Bosniaks” Shahin Kerla pointed out that Alija Izetbegović Vakuf was founded by the funds donated from Saudi Arabia, with the aim of education of highly educated staff.
– His goal was for the fund to release any political connotations and put him in the safe hands of the Islamic community. So far, we have shipped 2,500 gifted students and students, many of which are the bearers of the highest recognition and awards – said Kerla.
He added that the Fund also helps students from returning environment, conducts projects of education and preserves the memory of the work of the Rachmet of the President through study conferences and gathering scholars.
– The “Bosniaks” fund works transparently, professionally and responsibly. Vakufnama clearly prescribes that revenues are used exclusively for the purpose of education and science – Kerla concluded.
Edhem Bičakčić, president of the Parliament of the Islamic community, said Rahmetli Alija Izetbegović recognized knowledge as a key resource for development.
– He showed Vakuf “Bosniaks” as an individual can leave a permanently well that transcends his life. Today, that fund is growing because it is managed according to the principles of a good host. Education are a random need for our society – Bičakčić pointed out.
The panel discussion was completed with the food and learning of Fatih for all Vakifa and benefactors, and special attention is paid to Alija Izetbegović, whose visionarism still leaves a strong trail today.
