The Red Cross Secretary Tešanj, Mujo Fejzić, sent an open public letter to the lack of blood and the upcoming action of voluntary donation, which we are entirely transmitting.
“We are witnessing the daily needs for blood – both through private appeals and through social networks and red crosses clearly shows that the needs are increasing, while the number of active donors, unfortunately, are getting smaller.
Warned to save as many lives as possible and encourage new providers, we organize a great action of voluntary blood donation on 09.10. (Thursday) at the premises of the NK Tošk. The goal is to collect as large as possible blood, but also mobilize new volunteer providers. We remind you that one dose of blood saves three lives – which means that 50 donors could save as many as 150 people.
However, the sad fact is that this noble initiative most portals and the media from the area of Tešanj has neglected. In addition to such a number of information that finds space in the public every day, only one portal has published a call for this important action.
This is not the question of the promotion of the Red Cross, but the question of life and death. Each announcement, each divided information can mean salvation for those whose blood is urgently needed. That is why we appeal to all media, portals and individuals to contribute to our engagement in expanding the call and encouraging our fellow citizens to respond to this and future actions.
Blood giving is an act of humanity, solidarity and love for man. We don’t let noble actions pass unnoticed. “
